  2. Yes Mott The Hoople - they are waiting until the end of the year.

  3. Comeback Kids has unfortunate connotations of your mid-30s children returning home after their divorces.

    1. Jon Pertwee died in 1996. His cousin Bill Pertwee died yesterday.

Looking on the bright side, you've been spared 17 years of bereavement.

    1. He was in Dad's Army and, my favourite, Seamus Android (a send-up of the Eamonn Andrews chat show) in Round The Horne.

Just wanted to get my anagram in.

His confrontations with Lowe in DA were classic TV moments.

  8. The prize for the 5000th post is a holiday in Rio de Janeiro, in this case September 7th, Independence day - enjoy.

  9.
So, the theme is not bands/singers who have actually made a comeback, but search your memory banks for a band/singer who is not currently active in the music industry, and pretend you would like them to make a comeback.

What a complete and utter waste of my valuable time!

I guess we won't be hearing Chip Taylor, then.
