    5. Rolf, Travis and Kenny Barlow are up before the beak today. Perhaps they'll be exonerated. Rolf still has charges to face about images. One of Travis's offences allegedly took place on screen. His trial could take six weeks. The judge is worried the jury think Ken Barlow is a real person.

    4. Choose one song to represent a decade - what sort of a daft idea is that? An then they end up with a playlist that came straight from Now That's What I Call Total Cliche. Every one a chart single, when anyone who cared about music was listening to albums.

Anyone listened to the Dark, Dark Bright yet? It's my absolute favourite this week and even walking to work in the rain is a joy with that on the ipod.

      Happy New Year, Paolo.

    4. It was a great show last night, though I think last year's was better. That's obviously because Scott from Frightened Rabbit was there. Dawes were brilliant - hope they come back for a gig of their own some time. And Siobhan Wilson was fantastic - I'd seen her on Rapal through the summer when she did the same song as last night. The Joni Mitchell cover was stunning though. And I don't even like Joni. Roddy Woomble's a kind of comic-looking guy, but he's got a lovely voice. Way back when I worked in the lab, we had a PhD student who shared a flat with Roddy. He thought Roddy was really weird as he (the student) came home one day to find he'd spray-painted the walls silver. However, the student himself was unused to soap and water, and also a scientist so who knows which was the weirder.

Anyway, last night was a pretty damned good bit of planning and co-ordination and there was even a Warren Zevon song that wasn't Werewolves of London.

    5. Imagine going through school with the name Woomble.
It's too late for Warren to enjoy the royalties.

It was SG's idea. Thought we could have caused a bit of confusion.
      Not too late..
Mind you we saw their interpretation of "groups" so should be interesting to see their grasp of grammar. The production team clearly felt a definition was in order. They know their audience.

    5. Absolutely incredible the sh*te that is getting posted. I thought it would be bad but not THAT bad.
I am still chuckling about the Don Henley post Glen, classic.
The producers will have their work cut out tonight. Unless they play Roberta Flack all night.

    6. Unbelievable - there's hardly an adverb to be seen over by. And they're not kids of today who are posting, I don't imagine, so when exactly did education go down the pan?
