A repeat theme? Surely not. When's space on again?
I did note that someone on the other side had Clouds Across The Moon as a ringtone. So I dont think its gonna be a long, long time...
The ringtone theme is just intros or riffs under another name. Frankly I feel cheated.
Going to be a busy one tonight. Roll on 1964 night....Bowies first single. Liza Jane.
My lassie and my son-in-law introduced me to the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan.Given the weather in Glasgow today Texas Flood would be "good to hear."
It wasn't "good to hear" - they actually played it - when did you last hear a blues record on this show?
Therr ye go! Amazing what a birthday card'll get ye! >8-D
Could you ask for some Warren Zevon?
A guid nicht for the Not the Get It On Blog!Let's hope it's not the last time.......
Maybe - I don't know. Still 30 minutes to go.
You, me and Norrie - we're carrying this programme.
They played SRV? ye gods, who was in charge? Not Miss B I'll bet? So what else did you get on?
I pushed back the boundaries by asking for the Rolling Stones.
You are right Glen.
Pharrell Williams flavour of the month by the looks.Good to see the Liquid Entertainer back on form. If she keeps giving clues as to where she is, we'll be able to have our next get together in her local.I'd fly over for that one.Wet and windy here. The tourists and the Beeb think its another Brazilian cock up.It is winter you know.
It's summer in Qatar.Doha!(_8^(|)
I was so incensed with Carl Bildt suggesting a "Yes" vote would lead to the "Balkanisation of the British Isles"... Does he not under stand that as Obergruppenführer I DO want to set off "unforeseen chain reactions".
Oh & btw GIO sceptic & 90's Retro Kid are both scrubbed for not following the party-line and demonstrating freedom of thought!
here - I'm a bit on the slow side, agreed, but I've just noticed the cheeky remark at the top. My kid has great taste and is responsible for many of my favourite albums. Pointless asking GIO to share them with the nation 'cos of my inability to tell BB and MissB I love them still in spite of all their faults. here's on I didn't suggest There Will Be Fireworks
I think this was 1964.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxTgfRYPWbE&feature=kpI'm saving myself for 1974 though. Not as good as 72 but still a cracker.
Yip we'll save ourselves Adam for the 70's. Glen will probably be in his 70's when that theme comes round ;-0
What did he say?
Jack Warner - that takes me back.
Ready for the big kick off??
more sackings at Radio Scotland?
Who?Poked the fire on MacAulay & Co Farcebook page
Adam - I am really looking forward to it. I hope you are excited and that the place is as vibrant as it looks on the telly...have a great few weeks!
Well yesterday in Copcabana was a lot of fun. Dont believe all you see about the protests and police. This is the place to be.
Brian Burnett in f-word shock.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - sailors were blushing.
He blamed it on the Red Hot Chili Pipers...anyway, not chuckled at them so much since that Streets song. Dunno why they get all het up though since they regularly play Walk On The Wild Side. Jx
gonnae gi's a clue? I see last night's programme isn't on i-player
They played this then stopped it abruptly for an apology. It's spoiled the World Cup for me.http://lyrics.wikia.com/Red_Hot_Chili_Peppers:Around_The_World
..if i'd been listening i'd have twirled the dial as soon as i heard ...red hot.....a band that stretches the word credulity....as for the pipers...well thats a joke fo sho....and big eck by the way [ i went to see villa when you were boss...man alive....rubbish doesn't cover it]...anyways eck...stay outta broxburn/stirling tomorrow........the battle bus is on its way...cheers frae the dale
The biggest Japanese population outside of Japan is in Sao Paulo. So why the surprise? Biggest homer in history.Has the Dale boy been oot wi The Liquid Entertainer??
Half of them are match officials. Nissan production has plummeted.
Without comment:Margherita Still I was born on Father's day, my dad ran the mile and he taught me how to shoot when I was about 4, so Shoot the Runner by Kasabian fits nicely, 30 years since he passed away and I can still smell his Fisherman's Friends!
I had to go and check if that was true. You couldnt make it up. What about the fisherman and his friends?Poor Mags.
Next week's themes.
Tuesday "Two hours of songs containing the f-word"
MONDAYWe will not be hearing Oliver's Army, because a) It didn't quite make it to the #1 spot, andb) It is currently sharing a BBC sin bin with The Sun Has Got His Hat On.
I've got a copy of The Sun Has Got His Hat on, and a gramophone to play it on. For all the times we played it as kids, along with She Wears Red Feathers, I Get a Kick out of You and The Missouri Waltz (Mum's record collection) I don't remember noticing the unmentionable word. In fact, if anyone would like to buy this unique set of collectables they live in my garage and are looking for a good home.
Great to see that knocking the ball across the six yard line is now a "world class" pass.Maclean even with your club feet....
Off to see the Argies at the Maracana......
Are you allowed to refer to them as 'Argies' these days?
It'll be a difficult game playing both Bosnia and Hersegovina at the same time will it no?
looking forward to next week when we can all talk about Wimbledon
I do have the power of moderation Ms Brown...
You hide that well at the pub! Jx
